Welcome back for Week 2 of the summer series, Room by Room hosted by Amy at My Life From Home.
If you missed Week 1 themed Living Spaces you can see it all HERE!
Each week we will take you on a tour of a room in each of our different homes and share our tips on how we decorate, suggestion on how to add unique style, while also keeping it livable.
We hope you will be able to apply some of the tips and inspiration to your own spaces.
Our group includes bloggers with different home decor styles, so there is something for everyone
You will find all the links for each of the different rooms as you scroll to the bottom.
The theme for Week 2 of the Summer Room by Room series is Bedrooms.
So let’s take a look.
Loft Guest Bedroom
Our guest bedroom is located on the second-floor loft area. The guest bedroom is located next to the loft office area.

When decorating the guest bedroom I wanted to make it comfortable and relaxing but also simple, light, easy-going decor.
My base colors are neutral whites, grays and a simple design in the area rug.
The windows in this room face the East, so this room is flooded with light during the morning hours.
As I mentioned last week I do not have window coverings on any windows but this is one room that I may add inside shutters just so that my guest will not be awakened at the crack of dawn. Huh!
Accent chairs are great additions to bedrooms to provide seating for your guest to watch tv, read or check out their phone messages.
This area with the chair is right by the windows in the afternoon and evenings it has lots of natural light and a great view of the woods and trees.
My plans for this section of the bedroom is a built-in seating area under the windows. This is on our to-do list.
Placing throw pillows and regular pillows make for a really comfy bed.
A cute spotted pillow adds a fun feel to the all-white bed linens
During the summer months, I place lightweight quilts so that our guest have available blankets if needed.
Night stands on each side of the bed to place a lamp, and guest can place their cell phones etc.
I hope some of these tips are helpful in your home.
But now its time to take a look at the other bedrooms on the tour. Have fun and don’t forget to come back next week for week 3 of our Summer Room by Room Series.
