Life can be pretty hectic.
Whether you’re working, have children or do both, there are always things to do and places to be.
If you feel a little like this, then it is time to admit that you need a little more organization in your life.
And what better way to get organized than starting at home?
It may feel like a bit of a chore to get things in place, but when you have a system, it will pay off in the long-run.

Get a Bulletin Board
If your Google calendar just isn’t cutting it (especially as you’re the only one that is able to see it), then it is time to get organized with a bulletin board.
It could be a traditional cork board to pin messages to and put reminders on.
But you can choose anything that goes with the decor of your home.
How about a chalkboard wall, for example?
Or simply getting a magnetic board to stick all of your notes and invites on.
Whatever it looks like, it will help you to be more organized.
Practice Mise en Place
The French term, putting in place, is a great mantra when thinking about getting organized.
If you practice this, then it means that everything in the home has a place (and not just the floor or by the door).
Think about your morning as an example.
Isn’t it a nightmare when you can’t find your sneakers or one of the shoes that you were planning to wear?
But if you had things in a certain place, and using something similar to the Tidy Living sneaker storage, then you’d be able to find the shoes you want much quicker, which will make life simpler, easier, and much less stressful.
Clean Up Regularly
In order to keep your home organized, then it is a good idea to clean up regularly.
Doing a little amount each day is going to take off the strain of having to spend hours and hours one evening or on the weekend.
So choose a set time when you’ll spend twenty minutes each day cleaning.
You’ll be surprised at just how much of a difference it can make in your home.
Donate Before Buying
If you feel like your home has to much stuff?
Then it is time to do something about it.
Before you buy something new, make it a rule to yourself that you won’t buy anything new before you have donated, thrown out or sold something else.
Your home is a haven and having it clutter-free is one of the best ways to help you enjoy being there, as well as keeping you more organized.
You know where everything is when you know exactly what is in the house.
What tips help you to stay organized at home? Would love to hear what you think.
Thanks for coming by, I hope to see you back soon!
