So let’s jump right in……
You may have some of the supplies on hand if not you won’t need much to pull this together.
I had everything except the plants.
I made a stop by my local nursery on my way home from work and I was set.
Here is what you will need:
Pot 15″ TerraCotta Pot
Med. size growers pot (the kind that your plants come in or pot for the stand
Flowers/plants that you like
Some type of vining plant
Plant stand to hold your 15″ planter.
Putting it all together
First grab your growers pot. Pick one that is about 6-8 inches tall
Add soil around the growers pot
Time for the Plants
Once you have added your potting soil its time to add your plants
I will add the vine plants to the edge of the pot, so as they grow they will cascade over the edge and look so pretty.
Arrange the plants around edge of the pot and leave the center open
Place a pint size jar on top of the growers pot as your stand for saucer bird bath
I tried to get a photo with some of the birdies taking their baths but they were camera shy….
I think you get the idea. Just remember to fill the bath tray with water each day or every other day.
Have fun and enjoy your new bird bath Planter.
