All The Things You Want In Your Kitchen But Never Dared Ask For

People often say that the kitchen is the center of the home. But it is, arguably, more than that. Not only is the kitchen a place where everyone congregates, but it’s also the place where you cook home-cooked meals – something that science is increasingly showing is better for your health. Home cooked versions of favorite take-outs contain less fat, salt, sugar and other nasties that damage your health. Your kitchen isn’t just the social center of your home, but also a facility that has real potential to help improve the wellbeing of your family and protect you from disease.

Many people want to have the most luxurious kitchen imaginable. There’s nothing more decadent than having a kitchen with dozens of glittering features, all ready to fulfill your culinary desires. In this article, we’re going to take a look at all the things that you want in your kitchen but were too afraid to ask for. Let’s begin.

An Ice-Maker

Top of the list of conveniences are ice-makers, little machines that automatically create beautiful ice cubes without you having to go to the hassle of doing it yourself. Sure, you could go to the grocery store and pick up a bag of ice, but that always seems like such a waste when you could quite easily do it at home.

An ice-maker is the ultimate luxury kitchen convenience. You can buy them stand-alone or get one as part of an American-style fridge-freezer. If you can get one that is incorporated into your freezer, then you can save on countertop space, so you may find this the best solution.

A Tap That Provides Instant Boiling Water

With most of us chugging down liters of instant coffee every day, waiting for the kettle to boil every hour can get a little annoying, to say the least. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a faucet that could provide hot, cold, and instant boiling water? It turns out that there is: its called Qooker.

It should be pointed out that Qooker cheats a little bit with its taps. Rather than boiling water instantly the moment you demand it, the system works by using a small hot water tank, placed under the sink, that keeps water near to boiling all the time so that it’s ready when you need it. This is akin to keeping the kettle on the boil all day long, just in case you need a fresh cup of Joe at a moment’s notice. No, it’s not the most energy-efficient solution in the world, but frankly, for the purposes of this article, we don’t care. It’s a kitchen convenience, and we have to have it.

Drawer Dishwashers

Dishwashers are unapologetically ugly contraptions that take an otherwise beautiful kitchen and render it ugly. But thanks to some smart innovators, it doesn’t have to be this way. Now you can buy drawer dishwashers that look just like the rest of your cabinetry but with the added advantage that they will do the dishes.

Drawer dishwashers are very much in fashion right now, thanks to their amazing ability to blend in. Unlike traditionally integrated dishwashers which involved just sticking the front of the cabinet onto the unit itself, drawer dishwashers feel like a proper part of your kitchen. They’re not just a convenience but a luxury too.

Refrigerated Drawers

Staying with the drawer theme, we have refrigerated drawers too. These drawers work in a similar way to drawer dishwashers and work by building the appliance around two functioning drawers, rather than the other way around.

Refrigerated drawers are luxury kitchen appliances which help you to increase your fresh food storage capacity: great for parties and when you have guests over to stay. If you have more than one drawer, you can use them to split up different food items to improve hygiene. For instance, you could have animals products in one drawer, and veggies in another.

You could also split the drawers up based on being able to access the stuff you need conveniently. For instance, you could put cold cans of drink in the top drawer, allowing family members to grab a refreshing drink on the run.

A Pot Filler

There’s nothing more annoying than carrying pans of boiling water from the sink to the stove. Chefs and commercial kitchens avoid doing so like the plague because it’s dangerous. The good news is that there is something called a pot filler you can have installed near your stove. It’s basically just a very long and flexible faucet that allows you to fill up your pots and pans as and when you see fit. There’s no need to carry heavy containers of boiling water to and from the stove: you just fill them up right there while they cook.

Beautiful Wood Countertops Made Of Exotic Wood

About ten years ago, granite countertops were all the rage, and anyone who was anyone had to have one. But as time has gone by, exotic woods are now once again becoming the preferred luxury countertop material.

Which woods are best for showing off the grain? African mahogany is a popular choice right now, thanks to its vertical bonds and marks in the intermittent ribbon pattern.

Another popular choice is Caribbean rosewood also known as Chechen. The reddish-brown wood features a wide variety of different grain patterns and comes in tan and reddish-brown.

A Chef’s Stove

If you’ve ever taken a look inside a commercial kitchen, you’ll have seen rows on rows of stainless steel equipment, all gleaming under the lights. There’s a reason that chefs use this kind of equipment: it offers exceptional quality, and it continues to work even in the harshest of conditions.

Most chef-grade ovens are gas-only, so you’ll need gas running to your home if you want to install one of these. However, some run on both gas and electricity, with a few specialist models using wood fuel, giving you more options.

There are many top-notch cooking appliance brands out there, so make sure that you choose one of them. After all, this is supposed to be a luxury kitchen.

Rollout Shelves

If you go fumbling around in most kitchens for pots and pans, you’ll find them stuffed in the back of cupboards, difficult to access. But with rollout shelves (with proper cabinet backing) gaining access to the utensils you need just got a lot easier.

You can use rollout shelves for getting access to all kinds of large items, including things like soup pans and rice cookers.

The great thing about rollout shelves is that they can be customized to fit pans of varying shapes and sizes. If you know that you’re going to be using a particular utensil a lot, it makes sense to adjust the size of the drawer to reflect this. Doing so will make it easier to bend down and pick out the stuff you need.

A Wine Refrigerator

No luxury kitchen is complete without a wine refrigerator. A wine refrigerator is different from a regular one. Instead of keeping temperatures as close to freezing as possible, a wine refrigerator tries to keep wine at the optimal temperature for storing – somewhere between 8 and 12 degrees. It’s more of a protection against the wild temperature swings that your home might experience throughout the year.

So there you have it – several luxury items designed to change the way you see your kitchen completely. These are all the things you want but have never dared ask for because they’re just too luxurious.

See you soon!
