Don’t forget your ceilings when updating a room
When it comes to decorating we don’t often go into detail regarding the ceiling.
However, you may want to rethink and include the ceiling as part of the makeover.
This is usually because a ceiling isn’t a focal point, but it does catch your peripheral vision when you enter a room.
That means you should go ahead and spruce it up if you’re looking for a way to really bring a room together.
Here’s a few ideas on how you can change it.

Considering the Outdoors
With the autumn in full swing, chilling weather is gripping us in its wake across the country.
Maybe it’s time to inspect your roofing for missing shingles and other problems?
Don’t stop there, it’s a good idea to go in your attic and look at the roof area from the interior.
It’s a good idea to inspect your ceiling areas for any signs of water or condensation as well.
If your exterior roofing is in need of replacement, then it is best to get it done before the cold winter weather sets in.
Because for the winter season, this can be both a practical and aesthetic decision and very important to keep your home in tip-top shape.
Change the Tiles or Shingles
Changing the tiles or shingles not only means changing the worn durability of the inner roof, but also may be a good time to change the style of your ceiling.
You can even use drywall instead if you’re so inclined.
This doesn’t cost much and can get you that glossy sheen you’ve always wanted instead of the textured ceiling that looks like bits of popcorn are stuck to it.
Whilst it has its advantages, like not having to sand down a ceiling once it’s been fitted,
it can give your room or home a dated look.
Changing the look of your ceiling will be easier to do in a smaller room or perhaps when you are renovating an entire space
Change the Lighting
One easy way to change the look of the ceiling without redoing the drywall is to
Hang objects that make a room look more glamorous depending on the design
I love a chandelier hanging from the ceiling
a glamorous chandelier can change the whole room design.
A crystal chandelier is the go to for home makeovers, but normal cones and paper lanterns work just as well.
Go with your budget and look around for the best material to suit you, and use one that covers the light bulb if you can.
Plus they can be easily switched out if necessary!
Drape Around Some Drapes!
Ceiling drapes are super stylish and glamorous, and can make you feel like you’ve walked into a ballroom ready for a date with a prince.
If you add ceiling drapes in a spare room, or even an outdoor patio room, you also have a better place to host dinner parties and social gatherings,
and it doesn’t have to take much effort to put together either.
Make your own brand of elegance, offering a warm and enclosed feel in the bedroom,
or silk white drapes in an outdoor conservatory area to maximize on space and to make the area more usable.
They don’t even have to cover the whole ceiling,
drape over a window to offer a halo effect, or even shimmy down into the curtains.
There’s plenty to be done when it comes to ceilings!
