4 Ways You Can Relax After A Hard Day Homeschooling

As a parent, you will already know that definition of forever is the amount of time it takes for a 7-year-old to find one of their shoes (not both, just one). If you’ve been homeschooling your children at some point in the current crisis, you’ll also know that forever is also how long a day doing it seems to last.

When they are finally packed off to bed, and you have a chance for a bit of ‘me’ time (OK, a bit of a long shot, but you’re going to need a break). You could try one (or more) of these ways to help you relax.

#1 A bit of escapism

First of all, you are going to need to exercise a bit of discipline and limit yourself, so you’re not staying up until 2 am to find how that cliffhanger is resolved. Also, if it’s been a tough day, it might be best to avoid those hard-hitting documentaries about serial killers.  This does leave plenty of shows you can happily binge on to unwind.

If you feel like you’ve seen everything on Netflix you want, don’t forget there is also Amazon Prime Video and the newer Disney+ streaming service (though you may have had that on for the kids before they went to bed).

#2 Get help in relaxing

Trying to relax is easier said than done, and putting pressure on yourself to do so usually only ends up with you being even more stressed. An increasing number of people are finding the CBD oil can help, especially now some of the myths about it have been dispelled.

It is correct that CBD is a cannabinoid derived from the marijuana plant, but it won’t get you high (that’s another cannabinoid found in marijuana called THC), and nor is it illegal. CBD oils are widely available from many online suppliers, including vapecbdworld.com and also some high street stores.

#3 Occupy your mind

Puzzle books are not just for old people on the bus or train, and solving a crossword (or completing a word search) gives your mind something else to think about rather than the increasing amount of jobs that need doing tomorrow.

Suppose the paper versions aren’t to your taste (or a bit beyond your budget). In that case, there are many online puzzle games that not only mimic what you might find in a puzzle magazine but also hidden object games and puzzles that will definitely keep your brain ticking over.

#4 Follow an online workout (or yoga)

You might not feel like it, but exercising can help you relax. You might not have any of the equipment you might find in a gym; however, there are many workouts in places like YouTube that will fit your ability of level of commitment.

If you’re not up to a full aerobic workout, there are an equal number of yoga videos to follow, which also touch on meditation and the host of benefits that are associated with it.
