We are so ready here at the farmhouse and I am so excited that warmer weather is here
This year our back screened-in porch is finished and ready to enjoy. YEAH!
How we did the screening of the porch (its 15′ off the ground) will be coming soon. We had to be innovative to get it completed.
After all the hard work of painting and screening in the porch, I am so excited to get to the fun part of porch decorating
Today I am sharing how I picked my rug for my porch.

When planning my porch I decided to create a mood board.
Style Boards/Mood Boards are a great way to organize your style plans and thoughts.

As you can see in the photos, this is a long and narrow porch.
It measures 7.5′ wide x 18.9″ long. I picked a rug sized 6′ wide x 9′ length
Tip #1 – Size the rug to create a conversation area for your furniture arrangement.
Bottoms Up
Looking at my porch you will see that the floor is a natural wood color.
A rug is not required for a porch but I love how a rug creates a comfy, cozy feel to a space
To enhance the natural wood floor I decided to go with a white Jute rug. It contrasted nicely with the wood.
Also, I liked the airy clean feel that the rug added to the porch.
Tip #2 – Add color and/or contrast with your floor

All of these rugs looked exactly the same to me except they are made by different companies so I went by price.
Tip # 3 Prices vary so shop around for the best price.
This rug is made up of jute braids that are sewn together to form the rug.
This is a lovely rug with a casual style. Perfect for any style decor when you are wanting a simple, clean look.
