Meatloaf Farmhouse Recipe – Healthier Ingredients
This is a great recipe to make for a weekend meal. In my recipe, I use oats instead of breadcrumbs as a healthier option.
Making the meatloaf in a muffin tin as single serving makes for easier serving and easier to reheat leftovers later.
So let’s get right to the recipe.
Meatloaf Healthier Version
Ingredients
Method
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease muffin tin.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Mixture should be moist looking.
- Spoon hamburger mixture into the muffin tins almost to the top (see photo above).
- Add additional ketchup onto the top of each muffin.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until brown on edges and cooked through.
NOTE:
These meatloaf muffins are delicious reheated as leftovers.
I use organic ingredients whenever possible.
We have a local organic farmer so most times I have organic hamburger, eggs, and milk.
Using the oats instead of breadcrumbs is a great way to add nutritional value to this recipe for your family.
I think your family will love this meatloaf.
I usually serve with mashed potatoes, sweet peas or broccoli. Comfort food at its best.
