Hi Friends….I am so excited to be participating in the National Decorate Your Home for the holidays week by decorating a room in my home with the high quality decor available at my local Big Lots.
Planning ahead for the holiday season and decorating earlier can mean less stress and more time for the things that matter most.
Isn’t that what you want and need this Holiday Season? More time to enjoy!
To put it bluntly…..my holiday decor needed an overhaul in the worse way, so when I got the opportunity to shop Big Lots….my heart went-a-flutter….I am a big fan!!!!
Off to shopping I go. Thousands of thoughts running through my head as I drive to Big Lots. How was I going to decorate? What did I need to buy. What was my theme?
Boy, I needed some inspiration!
I arrived at the store and headed down the aisles and to the Holiday Decor area. I was greeted by two employees and asked if I needed help. So nice to have friendly help.
I was thrilled by the wide variety and large selection of quality home decor and then………
I turned the corner and there it was…………..the Woodland Collection. Oh my, I was in love at first sight. This was my inspiration, my love, my style.
I loaded up my cart and my car and away home I went.
Here are the photos of how I transformed my home decor into a Woodland Winter Wonderland.
I found candles, glass holders, wreaths, trees, snow, lights, wrapping paper, ribbons, tree ornaments, deer, snowmen and blankets. Everything I needed to decorate my home for the holiday’s.
White stars that glistened just for me…..these stars are an eye catcher. Very good quality and a price that I felt was so reasonable.
The pine cones were perfect to hang on my tree, I bought 2 containers so I could also use in a container. Notice how I hung 2 pine cones together. When you see pine cones in nature there are 2 together as well as 1. So it gives a more realistic look, don’t you think?

My front door entry table. I used a white sequined tree, candle and holder, Let It Snow Sign and Snowman and snow.
I really liked the look of the snow covered branches I placed in my living room.
What a handsome fellow…..He is one of my favorite finds, and the price was so affordable.
I just couldn’t resist this super soft, cozy throw blanket, especially when I saw the price, I was shocked because I have been eyeing a very similar blanket online, which was priced much higher. I plan to pick up a couple more just for gift giving.

See the pretty wrapping paper I found and here you see how I put the pine cones in a bowl for display. This bowl will nice anywhere. How easy is that?
