If you have been going to the gym quite a lot then you will know how rewarding it can be. You may feel as though you have done your workouts and that you are starting to see results. This is great, but that being said, if you do not work hard to try and lower your body fat percentage then you may find that your muscular physique does not show through as much as it could. If you want to get around this then it’s a good idea for you to try and focus on losing weight so you can see the results of your work outs that you’ve been working so hard for.

Increase Cardio
Bodybuilders will tell you that building muscle is the best way for you to lose fat. To some extent, this is a very good strategy. Losing fat however is also about having a calorie deficit. If you burn way more calories than you eat then your body will then be forced to burn fat for fuel. There really is no better way for you to get into a calorie deficit than to do cardio. It’s very difficult for you to burn 1,300 calories, or more, by simply lifting weights. Even your metabolism is boosted when you do cardio, so this is a very good way for you to start seeing your definition.
Eat More
If you are working out a lot then you will need to boost your calorie intake so that you have enough energy to actually make it through the day. If you want to show your definition then it would be wise for you to try and opt for a grilled chicken Caesar salad instead of a bacon or sausage sandwich. Little things like this can help you to get toned, fast. Adding more vegetables to your diet will help you out a lot as well.
Triathlons
Triathlon training is a fantastic way for you to lose weight and really show that muscle. When you partake in triathlon training, you may find that every day brings you a new challenge. You may find that you can go on a long run one day and then the next, you can improve your swimming. You’ll never get bored, so keep that in mind. You don’t need to actually do the triathlon, but if you do then you may find that you easily end up being able to have a goal which can be measured.
Lift Heavy
If you are doing a lot of cardio then you will lose fat, which is great. At the same time though, you will also be losing a lot of muscle. Lots of repetitions with weights won’t do much, so you have to make sure that you work your way up if possible. Compound lifts are ideal here, as these are the ones which work various muscle groups at once. You can try and do deadlifts, squats or even multiple muscle groups. Either way. Bodybuilders often have a way of bulking and cutting without having to worry about overdoing it, so make sure that you look up something like this so that you can get the best result out of your exercise.
