Coffee Table Styling – Back to Basics

Our decor topic this month is a fun one – Styling a Coffee Table

Let’s take a look……I went with a very simple display, easy to make and only takes a few minutes

Getting Started

The Coffee Table

As we all know, coffee tables come in all shapes and sizes.

Made from all sorts of materials

Mine, for example, could also be a bench

In fact, there have been occasions when we had people over that I cleared it off and used as a bench.

It’s always nice to have multi-functional furniture

Okay, so back to the styling…….

Gather Your Items

When I style my table I do not start out knowing exactly which items I will use.

Most of the time if I am making a seasonal change I will gather those type of items

This coffee table styling is more a spring/summer design

I first started with the dough bowl

Added a few candles

The magnolia leaf garland adds a finishing touch and completes the dough bowl display

See….so easy.

Now lets work on the remaining are of the table.

Pulling it together

I have had this extra-large candle for years.  

Earlier this year I found this ceramic pedestal that I just had to have

I wasn’t sure at the time when or how I would use it, but I knew I would

and today I did.

Be Bold

There you have it……easy option for styling a coffee table

Think of using books, trays, candles, and baskets or other items as a base piece

I used my dough bowl as my base and built from there. 

Next, arrange your items in your bowl or tray

Using candles is an easy way to add interest to any display

Don’t be afraid to go bold and big with your items, as I did with the big candle
