Leave their room in the current house unpacked for as long as possible until the day that you are moving. This goes for their bed, cot, toys, and so on. When you arrive at your new home and boxes are piled high in every room, your child is wailing because they miss their old home, and you can not find the box containing their toys, you will wish you had more room to breathe.
