Well, we say leave jobs like these to the last weekend of the month and pile them into one day!

Get Inside Appliances
How many appliances do you have in your kitchen? Of course you’ve got your oven and your fridge and maybe a microwave, and you might even have a kettle as well. You’ll also probably have your washing machine and tumble dryer in there as well. So we put the final appliance count at 6… Now, how often do you get inside to clean these?
From now on, once a month! Make sure you’ve got something to scrub the oven out with, and make sure you wipe out the microwave too – smells can collect very easily in there. Similarly, you may need to descale your kettle from time to time, and make sure there’s no lint or other clothing debris inside your washer and dryer either.
Clean Between the Tiles
The grout that sticks your tiles together on your bathroom walls and your kitchen backsplash can get very dirty. The grout collects a lot of water, oil, and grease over the course of its lifetime, and when things get too bad, you may even have to scrape the old grout out and replace it.
However, before it gets to that point, it’s time to add this job to your monthly deep clean round up. If you’ve got some baking powder or bicarbonate of soda in your baking cupboard, mix two spoons of this into a small cup of water, get a washing brush or old toothbrush out, and then take 10 to 20 minutes scrubbing down all the grout you can see in front of you. Simply wipe it off when you’re done!
Look Out for Mold
Mold can grow in many places in your home, but it mostly collects in areas where it’s both damp and warm – say, the shower after you’ve just gotten out. And because of that, it’s best to have a mold scrub down once a month, especially if your bathroom doesn’t get much ventilation otherwise.
Mixing together bleach and water (one to two parts) and wiping down the walls with the solution will work wonders at keeping mold at bay. Leave to dry and then voila! You’ll have a mold-free bathroom once again. And make sure this is definitely one of the deep celan jobs you do once a month; indeed, if left too long you’ll have to call in some mold removal experts to get rid of the growths for you!
Removing Limescale
Removing a limescale build up from the toilet can be hard to do in the moment, but a bit of preventative maintenance goes a long way. As such, get a bottle of bleach out and squirt a good few capfuls into the bowl, leave it alone for a couple of hours, and then come back with the toilet brush and really get into the ‘corners’. Once you’re done, flush and then forget about this job till next time!
Dust High Surfaces
How many high surfaces are there in your home? You know the kind we mean: the tops of bookshelves and doors and kitchen cupboards, a.k.a., the places you never see without a ladder. Well, it’s time to give them a wipe down, as the amount of dust and grime that can collect on them is astounding!
All you need is a cloth, maybe a bit of polish, and to keep the vacuum turned off until you’re done. You don’t want to have to run it round twice, and a lot of dust and hair will fall onto the floor during this job. Whip round each room, with a step ladder and 5 minutes each, and then you can leave this job till next month too.
