Who doesn’t like a good Hot Cup of Cocoa, coffee or latte, Right?
I love this idea! After looking at what it was going to take to create a delicious Cocoa Bar, I realized I already had most of what it takes and everything else needed can be found at your local grocery at very low cost. If you have a lot of coffee drinkers this is a great way to make it convenient for them to add a little something to their coffee or make a latte as well
Making a Cocoa Bar can be simple or elaborate, mine is more on the simple side. Have fun with it, your guest will love the ease, fun, and goodness of creating something delicious to drink
You can make your cocoa with hot water but I like my Hot Chocolate with milk.
Here is a list of items that can be used to create my HOT COCOA/LATTE COFFEE BAR! I used some but not all of these.
- Mugs
- Cocoa Mix (homemade or packets)
- Milk Steamer/Frother
- Hot Coffee
- Straws (optional)
- Hot Cocoa Stir Sticks (optional)
- Sprinkles
- Chocolate Chips
- White Chocolate Chips
- Marshmallows
- Peppermint Sticks
- Cinnamon Spice
- Tier- Stand
- Spoons
- Napkins
- Cookies/Treats
- Chocolate Syrup
- Whip Cream
- Bailey’s Irish Cream or other favorite spirits
- Caramel Syrup
- Cherries
- Table or Cart
Step 1
There are so many ways to set up a hot cocoa bar, use a side table, spot on your kitchen counter, a table or a cart. You basically just sit all of the fixings out, along with a way to heat up your milk or water, and let your friends and family make their own delicious creation. I have my coffee pot on the counter right next to the cocoa bar, so it’s easy to pour your coffee and turn to the cocoa bar for the fixings.
Step 2
Decide how you want to layout your bar. The tiered stand makes it handy to hold the spoons, cute paper straws, napkins any other items you would like. I used a wooden white box to add a stand for a few mugs.
Adding a way to heat the milk is really easy with this Milk Steamer/Frother. I am so in love with it. It heats and froths the milk perfectly every time. If you are needing a gift idea for the person that loves lattes or hot cocoa this Milk Steamer/Frother will make them very happy or buy it for yourself. LOL
Using items to create different heights makes for a pretty display. Next, add any type of decorative items you would like to display, pretty dish towels, mini trees etc.
Step 3
Gather your fixings. I used Ball Mason Jelly Jars 1/2 pint to hold the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, sprinkles, and marshmallows. You can have whatever fixin’s you like.

Not only is a Cocoa Bar, perfect for holidays, having friends over for Christmas parties, and Christmas Eve (surely Santa would appreciate it), but its great to have all through winter, and if you all coffee options its a year round drink bar.
