How to Make These Adorable Bird Nest Placemats in 15 Minutes or Less!

Yep, you read that right—just 15 minutes, and you’ve got yourself the cutest DIY bird nest placemats! And the best part? You only need TWO items, which you can snag for about $15 if you shop around.

This spring, I’ve been completely obsessed with bird nests. I have them sprinkled throughout the house in my spring decor—on shelves, tables, even tucked into little corners. They’re just so charming and bring that fresh spring vibe inside.

So naturally, creating these bird nest placemats was the next step in my nest-loving journey!

What You Need:

• 8″ grapevine wreath
• Ribbon (pick your favorite color!)
• Bunny ears napkin holders (optional, but adorable!)

How to Make Bird Nest Placemats:

Step 1: Unwrap the main grapevine twig that’s holding the wreath together.

Step 2: Remove the center part of the wreath. This will be the size of your plate. (Heads up—this part gets a little messy, so if you can, do it outside!) Twigs will shed, but that’s totally fine. You’ll be left with a thinner, more flexible grapevine wreath.

Step 3: Wrap your ribbon around the wreath, spacing it evenly. Tie a bow at the top with both ends of the ribbon. Use what ever color of ribbon you like.

And that’s it! So simple, yet so cute.
