I don’t know about you but when I see a wooden box or wooden drawer I think of all types of things I could do with them….This table display is one that I did this week. So easy and so charming and it doesn’t take many materials to create. Here is what I used:
Sewing Drawer or a wooden box.
Faux flowers of your choice, Styrofoam and a pair of wire cutters.
- At first you should cut long pieces until you try a couple of the flowers in the Styrofoam to see what length you want.
- I cut a few pieces of the flowers for the middle section, just a little longer for height and then the others were all a little shorter.
- I used two bunches of flowers.
I cut the Styrofoam into 3 pieces just because my drawer had dividers in it.
These were already in the drawer when I bought it so I just left them because
I think they may come in handy when I use the drawer for other things.
Put the Styrofoam into the drawer. No need to glue, the Styrofoam will stay put.
Next I started adding the cut flowers into the styrofoam.
Put your taller pieces in the center and add the shorter pieces all around.
Keep adding until the planter looks full. I used all of the two bunches I had.
How easy was this? I would give this project a 4 out of 5 stars. Its easy, low-cost, fast, cute and I can reuse the drawer another day. AWESOMENESS!!!
I hope this gets your creative juices going. Take a look around your house for a box or basket and I would imagine you might find something that would really look cute.
