Today is Part 2 “THE REVEAL” of the Thrift Store Challenge. If you missed the 1st post on the July 11th….don’t worry you can still check them out from the links below.
Let’s recap what the Thrift Store Challenge is. Participants were to shop for items at their local thrift stores, flea markets etc. Buy an item or two with a Budget of $15, and then send to the designated DIY blogger in the challenge. Each blogger is to create/decorate with the items.
I received my package of goodies from Jeannee at Shepherds and Chardonnay.
Jeannee is an Accredited Home Stager with A passion for DIY, Decor and Furniture Painting. Jeannee says she accidentally became A Furniture Flipper as A residual effect of buying furniture to paint, changing your mind and realizing “hey! there is profit in re-selling this stuff !”

Here is the beautiful clock and copper bowl. Would you like to see how I decorated with the Clock and the copper colander? I really liked these items and I loved how the clock looked as is. Jeanne did a wonderful job picking them out.
Here is the colander. I really liked the size and color.
I added this little bird nest and vine accent to the colander for a display in my living room. I really like the look.
When I received my thrift store box and opened up the clock, it was love at first sight. I knew from the beginning I would probably decorate my mantel with the clock. I carried the clock around the house, tried it in other spots, racked my brain for a different ideas, but always came back to liking it best on my mantel with my vintage window.
So there it is. I think it looks amazing with the window.
