Spring has arrived and we are kicking off Spring with this Stencil Challenge x8.

I have joined with some amazing Bloggers and we each took the same Stencil and created 8 different projects. Be sure to check each one out.

spring stencil challenge x8

wood stenciled boardI decided to use an old board that I found in my husbands discarded wood pile. It was a little warped but worked ok for this project.

PAINTING

To get started I white washed the board with white acrylic paint. To get the white wash look just think your white paint with a small amount of water.

STENCILING

To make sure your stencil stays in place I taped the corners with scotch tape.

APPLYING PAINT TO THE STENCIL

I used a light green color as my lettering paint. I kept the brush very dry to make sure the stencil letters came out sharp.

There you have it. Spring is on my front door. Have you started decorating for Spring?

Continue the fun and visit my other blogger friends to see what they did with their stencil.  It was so fun working with this group of talented ladies.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the projects!

What a fun and welcoming sign for your front porch! I think we have a similar discard pile in our garage, and now I know just what to do with it! Happy Spring!

What a pretty sign! Great for spring. I like how you used the different fonts in the sign. I need to find me some more stencils with different fonts, I don’t have very many.
