Welcome to Create & Share February Challenge. This Challenge is hosted by my good friend Stephanie at Casa Watkins. The challenge was for each of the 6 bloggers to take the same item and transform into a decor item for their home or garden.
When this little item arrived from Amazon I didn’t really know what I was going to create. I sat in my craft room for many days. I would everyone once in awhile think about what it might look like painted? What color would I make it? What would I put in the flower pots? etc etc etc.
I finally decided I wanted the theme colors to be white and black. Ok, I know that is pretty simple, and you are right but i like doing things simple.
First I gave it a couple of coats of white paint.
It sat for a few more days…..I was at Hobby Lobby last week and came across these ideology small ink set and thought this would be perfect for my planter.
This is really easy to use. With the stick that is included press on the stencils that you are wanting to add to your project.
I then painted the bottoms of the pots white.
Painted the tops black.
All done. I am using this note center in my kitchen but it could be used in an office area or kids bedrooms etc.
Now its time to check out what my other blogging friends created using their mini pot stands. Here they are.
