Welcome back to week two of the One Room Challenge! I have been busy behind the scenes starting to gather needed items for my master bedroom makeover. Last week I shared my ideas/wishes for this One Room Challenge. You can check out last weeks post here.
So just a short recap. The room is basically just furniture. Bed, side table, cabinet. Just as the day the movers dropped the furniture in the room.
There is a lot to be done and this past week I didn’t feel that I made a lot of progress, but I did find a chair at a yard sale that I couldn’t pass up. You might remember that one of my ideas for the room was to creating a reading corner. A white chair was needed for that area. Well I found the chair, only problem is it isn’t white. Here it is:
So now I will be reupholstering the chair. I haven’t ever reupholstered anything but I am going to give it my best shot. Have you ever reupholstered? My mother has reupholstered several items so she will be my go to for information and tips. Make sure you are by your phone Mom.
The chair is different than my mood board but when I found this chair for only $20 dollars I couldn’t turn that down. Here is my vision for the chair.
So there you have it. Week 2 progress report. So much to do……I hope I can get it done with only 4 more weeks to go.
