Having healthier snacks on hand makes packing school lunches faster and easier, but also eases your mind when you know that your children are eating healthier. Right?
Today I am sharing a recipe that I have found most kids love to find in their lunch boxes. The kids will never know that it is a healthier potato chip. So mums the word.
Crispy, crunchy, and tasty, air fryer potato chips have 60 percent less fat than their store-bought counterparts. Yes, making potato chips in your air fryer requires a little bit of effort—but the result is a salty snack that’s pretty healthy. Does it get much better than that?
You will have this recipe down in no time and it will be one of your favorites.
Start with fresh washed raw potatoes.
You only need 2 medium-sized potatoes for one batch of potato chips.
Slice It
Make sure to slice the potatoes very thin as you can see here. Using my grader I get very thin slices that work perfectly for potato chips.
Practice Makes Perfect
Mastering air fryer potato chips takes practice—and you’ll want to check on them about halfway through cooking, then more frequently towards the end of their cooking cycle. Use tongs to carefully separate any potato chips that have stuck to each other to ensure they cook evenly and remove any chips that are fully crisped.
Make a batch of these chips for your family snacks or back to school lunches for a healthier potato chip snack.
