No worries, today we have tips and advice on how to combine more than one pattern in a room to create a beautiful space.

To me, there are no hard set rules when mixing patterns.
It all comes down to balance and the style you are trying to achieve.
To select your patterns first determine what kind of look you want your room to have.
Are you going for a Global look or perhaps a French Country look?
Think about the overall look and what kinds of patterns will work with it.
Tips to Pattern Mixing
Trust your instincts about what you think looks good, but if you are feeling overwhelmed here are a few tips that will help.
When you select your patterns pick a minimum of three patterns, this seems to work very well
Use complimentary hues for your patterns.
Think about the scale of the patterns
One large, one medium, and one small; or one large and two different mediums for instance
You should also mix solids with your patterns to break things up.
Place your patterns throughout your room to keep the space in balance.
