Welcome back for Week 3 of the summer series, Room by Room hosted by Amy at My Life From Home.
Each week we will take you on a tour of a room in each of our different homes and share our tips on how we decorate, suggestion on how to add unique style, while also keeping it livable.
We hope you will be able to apply some of the tips and inspiration to your own spaces.
Our group includes bloggers with different home decor styles, so there is something for everyone
You will find all the links for each of the different rooms as you scroll to the bottom.
The theme for Week 3 of the Summer Room by Room series is Kitchens.
So let’s take a look.
Farmhouse Summer Kitchen
Lots of sunshine in the kitchen during the afternoon. Great for preparing food to grill or mixing up some fresh lemonade with a bit of lavender syrup.Summer is a time to enjoy the warm weather and we are always running in and back out, so I like to keep things as simple as I can in the kitchen.
I do not have a lot of items on my countertops. This makes for easier cleaning and keeps the area clear for food prep.
The chicken feeder plate rack is great for having small plates right at your fingertips for serving sandwiches and snacks.
My kitchen island is the workhorse of the kitchen. We sometimes eat, do projects and work on our laptops here.
We have adjustable bar stools so the height can be easily adjusted for different people.
This bench has been in a couple of different rooms, but it does work well by the back porch door. I change out the pillows to a bright color for summer.
I hope some of these tips are helpful in your home.
Now its time to take a look at the other kitchens.
Have fun and don’t forget to come back next week for week 4 of our Summer Room by Room Series.
