I believe simple is better when it comes to decorating. To many items and I think it becomes distracting and begins to look cluttered. Good News! No need to spend lots of money to get a simple, classy, clean decor look for Spring. Most of the items I used this year I already had around the house. If you will notice some of the items here are also in my Christmas, summer and fall photos as well. Use and reuse, find things around your home and use in a different way. Its fun and satisfying when you see the final beautiful results.
Simple little items added in to your regular items will make the decor more springy! A bunny, ceramic eggs, topiary, that I made a few weeks ago and a yellow linen napkin that I have had for ages.
I added the green candle which I have had for years, glass vase with hydrangea, green ceramic birds and green leaf canvas painting. The birds were 40% off at Hobby Lobby $5.50 each, the canvas print was from JoAnn’s on clearance for $3.50. So this cost $15.50,everything I already had. Not bad for a new look.
Using trays is really a simple and fun way to decorate a table top or counter top. This tray I placed on my rustic coffee table and added two candles, linen napkin, floral sprig, and white pitcher. It makes a darling little decor setting and really brightens the area.
Go through your spring items and look around you house for things that you can use. You will probably already have most of what you need to make your home brighter and springy!….if not, it may only take a couple of items you need to purchase to really make it something special. Play around with it….you will be amazed. I know you can do it…go girls go!
