In case you are wondering how this works: Each Thursday for the next 6 weeks, Guest Participants (bloggers) get to participate and share their progress at the ORC room transformation party. We only have 6 weeks to complete the room. Isn’t this exciting. There are so many talented participants, this is going to be amazing.
INFORMATION: I know some of you may remember that I joined the Spring ORC but didn’t finish. I normally do not share a lot of personal information but I felt I should let my bloggers friends know that I wasn’t just a quitter. Two weeks into the challenge my mother was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Disheartened and utterly shocked, I at first thought I would be able to continue with my room redo, but as we learned more and my mothers radiation treatments were scheduled immediately, I knew I wanted to focus, support and take her to her treatments. Her final treatment was in June, a three month check was in September and so far all is good. Sometimes life throws us a curve ball, but we just keep batting.
So I am back to get this room done.
I chose my Master Bedroom as my ORC Room to makeover. I haven’t touched this room since that last challenge, so I am ready to get it done and thought joining in the ORC would be the perfect way to get me motivated.
Here are few of my ideas, but I have just begun to make my wish list so this will be changing.
Here is what the room looks like today.
Dark furniture with very few accents. No window coverings or wall decor, just boring.
The corner area would be perfect as a reading area, with a chair, side table and light to relax and read.
Since the furniture is so dark I want to add accents, such as pillows, rugs, comforter and other items that will lighten up the space.
There you have a quick look of my room. I want the room to reflect my Farmhouse Style….. I am excited to get started.
Pin it! So you don’t forget it.
